Look Up

Look Up, 2021

vinyl cut out, 20*40 inch

Look Up (2021) is a printed poster in the artistic tradition of public space interventions. The work reflects on the power of religion in overcoming the hardship of life while growing up in Pakistan. The drawing practice comes from henna painting and as such it aspires to connect the public to their higher spiritual source. The artistic intervention by the young Muslim artist into the American public space seeks to reflect on the power of spirituality, asking us to look up and seek the powers through the natural and personal.
